St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School follows the curricula of the Diocese of Charleston Catholic Schools Office, which comprises the entire state of South Carolina. Catholic schools of the diocese are educational centers where faith is part of the school’s culture and in which all members of the school community share this Christian vision. The Catholic schools are asked to “integrate all aspects of human knowledge through the subject taught in the light of the Gospel.”
St. Anthony’s believes in meeting the needs of the whole student through solid educational instruction, discipline and growth in developing a positive self-image.

Notre Dame ACE Collaborative Curriculum Project
Beginning in 2013-14, St Anthony’s and other Dioceses of Charleston Catholic Schools are working with the University of Notre Dame’s ACE Collaborative for Academic Excellence curriculum project. For the next two years the schools have decided to address, but not adopt, the Common Core Standards. The approach includes an integration of the common core methodology with what the schools determine are strengths in their own curriculum, as well as the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools developed by Loyola University and Boston College.
