Nick & Marian LeGrand
Nick and Marian LeGrand are members of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic
Church community because of their son, Jonathan. As active parishioners
in a nearby parish, they were pleased when their 23-year-old son
invited them to Mass at St. Anthony’s. "We knew it must be something
special," explained Nick.
After Jonathan died in an accident in 2009, less then a year before
his college graduation, the LeGrands wanted to honor their son. They
decided to give a financial gift to St. Anthony's School. They also
asked that donations be made in his memory to the school.
Since Nick and Marian had been raised in parochial schools through
high school and their three children had gone to Catholic high schools,
they knew the spiritual blessings they had received from this
foundation. "St. Anthony’s School is the legacy of our church
community. We wanted to help an organization that Jonathan loved and a
Franciscan community that’s changed our lives, too," says Nick.
